Caroline found me on Instagram and during our initial phone call, I felt an instant connection with her and knew I wanted to document their wedding day!  They are tying the knot at the beautiful Villa Parker in September of this year.  They have included Caroline's daughter, Audrey in all of their wedding planning so I know it's going to be a beautiful day.

For their engagement session, Caroline wanted to head up to Lookout Mountain Nature Center for some mountain views.  You can't tell from the amount of photos we got but it ended up being the shortest engagement session ever because a storm blew in out of nowhere.

Here is the beginning of Caroline and Aaron's love story in Caroline's words:

Aaron and I met online in January of 2018.  We decided to grab some drinks at a restaurant nearby a few weeks later, and we have been inseparable ever since! We got engaged on a trip we took to Bald Head Island, North Carolina, in August of 2019.  It was my birthday, and he kept asking me all day if I wanted to visit the lighthouse on the Island (apparently it's the oldest lighthouse still standing in North Carolina).  Unfortunately, when we got there, it was closed! Next door, there was this beautiful church that had a gorgeous courtyard. He sat me down, got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! I found out from Aaron later that the evening did not go how it was supposed to, but it was a surprise nonetheless.

The wedding planning process started pretty shortly after we got engaged, and I knew I wanted something romantic and outdoors. I have been planning my wedding since I was about ten years old, so now, it's about making that vision come to life. When we found Villa Parker on The Knot, I was immediately drawn to the beautiful courtyard, the Italian vibe of the venue, and it's history. Throughout the wedding planning process, it was crucial to Aaron and I that my daughter, Audrey, played a significant role in the wedding planning process. Our wedding day is not just about us getting married, but it's also about blending our family and starting it off with a celebration of love. She has been an enormous help with the DIY crafts for our wedding, being a part of our engagement photos, and she even suggested the color of the bridesmaid's dresses. She is constantly talking about how excited she is that she is going to be a part of our big day, and Aaron and I can't wait to make this family official!
