How did you and Brooks meet?
We met through our families - they planned the whole thing without us knowing! Eventually we arranged meeting at Solid Grounds for coffee and ended up staying there for 3 hours!
How did Brooks propose?
Brooks planned a picnic in Washington Park and popped the question with both of our families hiding behind the big trees in the park. We then went to lunch where all of our extended family and friends surprised us with a big celebration.
What was the most exciting part of planning your wedding?
Knowing that all the planning would come together and we would get to spend the best day of our lives celebrating with our closest family and friends.
What was the most stressful part of planning your wedding?
As most brides do - I was so worried about what the crazy Colorado weather would be on our wedding day.
What was the vision for your wedding?
I wanted to bring out both Brooks's and my style as best I could. Simple, elegant, and most of all, fun!
Why did you choose Columbine Country Club as your wedding venue?
I loved the relaxed nature of Columbine Country Club - it was close to both our homes, beautiful, and easy to work with!
What part did the Brooks play in planning the wedding?
I focused on all the creative details, while Brooks was our financial planner - anything that had to do with money, I sent Brooks in for the job!
What your favorite part of your wedding day?
I remember standing at the alter looking at Brooks and knowing it was the happiest moment of my life. There are no words to describe the emotion you feel while you're marrying the love of your life.
If you could do it all over again, would you do anything different?
I'd give anything to do it all over again - there isn't anything I would do different!
Any advice you’d give those planning their wedding right now?
Don't stress - on the day of your wedding everything will workout exactly like it is supposed to :)
